What is the nose-bridge strip?
Those who have used disposable paper masks will find a nose-bridge strip (like a soft wire) around your nose.
That is the nose-bridge strip.
However, as the number of people making handmade masks increased, it became difficult to buy this nose-bridge strip.
However, it’s okay if you can’t buy it.
After using the disposable paper mask, cut it with scissors and take out the nose-bridge strip.
Put the nose-bridge strip in the mask
Since the backing cloth is already sewn on the back of the fabric, sew the front fabric and the lining together.
Sew two lines. Open 5 mm(≒0.19in) between the two lines and sew longer than the nose-bridge strip. (5mm(≒0.19in)× 12mm (≒0.47)in the picture)
Insert the nose-bridge strip between the two lines and then sew both ends of the two lines.
Then the nose-bridge strip is fixed.
The nose-bridge strip is put between the front fabric and the patch cloth.
In other words, from the front side, the front fabric →the nose-bridge strip →the patch cloth →the lining.
Since the patch cloth comes to the back of the lining, nose-bridge strip fits softly on your nose.
No fusible interlining is used for this 3D mask.
(I don’t want to sniff the glue on the fusible interlining)
Put the nose-bridge strip in the mask to shape it.
